Sometimes there’s no need for a diver to get wet: diving robots of URC RGS
Remotely operated uninhabited vehicles (ROV’s), or simply, diving robots – are the safest way for men to explore the seabed and whatever lies at the bottom of the ocean. Their engineers supply these machines with an increasing number of features and functions: improving the quality of the transmitted image or increasing the operating depth, etc. Such equipment is controlled from the surface; instructions are transmitted down via cable. The ROV transmits all the collected data right away via the same cable. We use ROV’s for surveying and to monitor the work of divers.
